Responsible for support and supervision to cabin counselor team,
camper behavior management, and all camp programming activities.
Maintain inventory of program supplies and equipment. Work closely
with Program Coordinators, Director of Camp Programs, and
occasionally with Executive Director. Part of the Camp
Whitcomb/Mason Pathways team.
Provide support and leadership to develop and deliver
resident camp programming that is appropriate for the age and
ability of the campers and utilize the camp’s resources.
Write lesson plans that meet camp outcomes and the abilities
of the campers to develop them into leaders. Implement a
variety of age and ability appropriate activities.
Implement and administer outcome survey for the Summer Camp Program.
Work with campers that need behavior management plans and
challenges with appropriate counseling staff and full-time staff.
Ensure camp staff and campers know and follow safety and
Assist in the implementation of staff training.
Complete bi-weekly observation forms with Cabin Counselors.
Provide day-to-day guidance, support and supervision to cabin
counselors. Assist in the
management and care of the physical facilities and equipment
in main camp.
Responsible for observing hazards or enhancements in the
natural environment in main camp
and alerting other appropriate staff.
Ensure that the program equipment and supplies are
inventoried, and steps are taken to replace
then in a timely manner.
Conduct a daily check of the area and equipment for safety,
cleanliness, and good repair.
Responsible for programming and assisting in the facilitation
of age appropriate village and all-
Must participate in required trainings by the Club, County,
State, and/or funder.
Work cooperatively with all staff to ensure quality programming.
Understand and follow transportation policies and procedures
while riding transportation to and
from Camp Whitcomb/Mason with members and other staff.
Display excellent customer service to all people while on duty.
Respond to emergencies as designated by the Camp
Whitcomb/Mason Emergency Action Plan.
