Job Description:

Job Summary:

As an LMS Manager, you will manage the setup, data, and process for our LMS system(s). Additionally, you will manage our LMS Video content, ensuring that all videos adhere to common standards (format, accessibility, etc). You will work closely with our Programs Department to onboard new content and evaluate existing content. You will work closely with our Operations team to facilitate staff and member access to the system. Developing and adhering to best practices will be critical to success in this role.

Ideally, you will have a background in Information Technology or Operations. This is a tech heavy job that will require you to engage with various departments to complete your work.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration of our LMS platform(s)

  • Planning and deploying system integrations (Low code SSO, APIs, etc.)

  • Works with all operations groups to ensure processes will capture necessary data points and scale to meet business needs

  • Works directly in LMS to create and manage administrative best practices related to user creation and permissions

  • Works directly in LMS to build accounts, sub-accounts, branding, and administrative settings for the platform

  • Works directly in LMS catalog to create and manage administrative best practices related to user creation, permissions, API functions, and integrations within the system(s)

  • Work directly in LMS to build courses and add content, as well as assisting other staff to the same

  • Work with others in the Organization to develop and promote Best Practices within the LMS platform(s)

  • Responsible for Monthly, Quarterly, and yearly reporting on system utilization & content

  • Maintains technical knowledge of LMS by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

Experience and Skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or relevant experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in administration of LMS systems (Canvas or similar platform)

  • Familiarity with building course content in LMS system(s)

  • Experience with HTML, CCS, JavaScript, and C#

Skills:

  • Experience in a system/application support capacity

  • Experience with LMS systems (ideally Canvas) or developing education course content

  • Experience working with data sets (Excel Wiz at minimum, ideally SQL)

  • Experience working with Integrations/APIs and SSO

  • Experience with Office 365 is a plus

  • Must have a valid WI driver’s license, good driving record, and meets state required automobile insurance minimums.
