Job Description:

The IT Support Specialist is a hands-on position that reports directly to the Director of IT. The IT Support Specialist is the first level of support for the day-to-day support of Computing devices and the first level of support for the end user technical questions. This position will work on-site and remotely to support our staff, clubs, and programs throughout the Milwaukee Area.

Responsibilities:

Provide, as necessary, quick response technical support for problem resolution to end users; resolve hardware, software and applications issues providing work-around solutions, as needed, to obtain temporary and permanent fixes. Manage, prioritize and triage incidents and problems via support tickets.

Support end-user devices (builds, troubleshooting, patches, apps, etc.).

Support fleet of Chromebooks.

Print and Copier support.

Event and Meeting Setup and Support.

Basic LAN, WAN, & WIFI troubleshooting.

Administer Active Directory users & Computers.

Maintain Asset Inventory.

Assist with training and orientation of staff on use of technology items.

Other duties as assigned by Director of IT.

Experience and Skills

Skills:

Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and complete work independently.

Ability to configure and provide basic troubleshooting for Network devices (switches, WAP’s, etc.)

Strong communication skills and positive attitude.

Must have a valid WI driver’s license, good driving record, and meets state required automobile insurance minimums.

After-hours and weekend availability will occasionally be required.

Education:

IT related Associate’s Degree or comparable certification/experience.

Experience:

2-3 years of overall IT work experience (3-5 without a degree).

Experience supporting Active Directory. .

Experience supporting Office 365.

Experience with VMware ESXi hypervisor, Ubiquiyi Aps, or FortiGates is a plus troubleshooting basic networking problems.
