Job Description:

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing programs/activities in coordination with

YoungStar, Childcare, School-age State regulations for ages 4-8years old.

Job Responsibility:

Manages assigned programs that support specific initiatives.

Provides support to the Club sites with outcome goals and objectives based on needs of members, families, and community.

Supervises, schedules and trains program staff.

Provide coaching and role modeling to operations staff related to program implementation.

Tracks member participation in assigned program areas and documents results and progress of members.

Generate monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports as requested.

Provide direct support and guidance to youth as they develop individual goals and plans and ongoing documentation of membership portfolios.

Directs and implements programs for members 4-8 years of age.

Provides support and direction to members in the area of academic success, healthy lifestyles, and civic and community engagement.

Implements and participates in programs, projects, and special events.

Encourages emotional, social, and educational growth of individual members.

Recruits and leads members in special field trips and outings for our members.

Must participate in required trainings by the Club, County, State, and/or funders.

Participates in continuing education opportunities.

Experience and Skills


Demonstrated examples of working with youth.

Program development and small group implementation.

Highly organized with attention to detail.

Ability to relate effectively with diverse population.

Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Must have a valid WI driver’s license, good driving record, and meets state required automobile insurance minimums.


60 College Credits

Bachelor’s degree preferred.


At least 1 year experience in  Child Development and comparable techniques or completion of BGCGM Volunteer to Work program.

80 full days or 120 half days of experience as an assistant child care teacher, if required.Within 6 months of hire:

    • CPR
    • Introduction to childcare training (40 hour course)
    • Skills & Strategy to child training.
    • Suspected Child Abuse- Mandated Report Training (SCAN_MART) or equivalent
    • Shaken Baby Prevention Training,
    • Registry level 7 or higher, if required.
